I was wanting to buy a talking remote. We have dish network. Does anyone know how much the talking remotes talk? I don’t want to buy one, if it only speaks the numbers.

I too have dish network and I can't stand how unaccessible they are. But what does it have to do w/zone bbs? curious.
um yeah. i think you posted this in the wrong topic.
Moved to Geeks Are Us, though it could go a few places.
You can do a google search for kobolt systems, they're a company out of the UK, and they do have alot of talking products including a talking remote.
I have the Accenda Remote Control, and quite like it. Apparently it's currently on sale from Independent Living Aids.
Now that being said, I'm not sure what you're expecting it to do. It won't make your Dish Network any more accessible then it already is. The remote just says the buttons you press, and gives you voice prompts when you program it.
Well, I am sorry if I put this topic in the wrong category, but when I posted this message it didn’t give me a choice where to post it!
I am new at this and I can’t even change my audio profile, because there is nothing there to let me change it. There was a place to let me change it, but it’s not there any more.
Thank You All,

wow I feel so techey eelitterate! I didn't even know there were talking remotes.
Yes, indeed they are talking remotes. I got the accenda remote for my birthday and really like it. If you're interested in finding out more about the accenda, someone did a main menu review of it a while back. I'm not sure when, but it shouldn't be too hard to find in the archives.
Talking remotes? I didn't know they had those, lol! My gosh, what else do they have that talks? ;)
you ask waht else can talk? try watches, clocks, microwaves, computers, mobile phones, thermometers, kitchen/bathroom scales, blood pressure monitors, calculators and tape measures
